AC8810 is an intelligent, dual active output node with upstream segmentation. It offers high output level (Umax 138 QAM / 112.5 dBµV) and supports 1.2 GHz/204 MHz bandwidth. Remote monitoring and control is available with transponder (HMS/CATVisor or DOCSIS).

High performance capacity

AC8810 is based on two fixed receivers and up to two modular upstream transmitters. Output amplifier stages use high performance 1.2 GHz GaN hybrids, which makes the usable output level range especially wide.

Local configuration

AC8810 has a USB connector for local configuration with a PC or mobile device. It supports wireless connectivity with AC6901 Bluetooth adapter. The AC8810 has also a local user interface consisting of a four digit 7-segment display and three push buttons. This local UI can be used for basic configuration in cases where use of a PC, tablet or smartphone equipped with CATVisor Commander is not desired.

Automatic alignment and increased reliablity

AC8810 is also equipped with a plug-in module slot for transponder module. The transponder unit allows full remote monitoring and control of all node parameters. It can measure the levels of both forward and return path signals and enables the automatic forward and return path alignment functionality.


The upstream signal path can be fully redundant with double transmitter modules. When more segmentation is needed, both optical transmitters can be fed with separate individual return path signals. Node’s dual power supplies increase the reliability of the node.

Power save technology

The combination of high output level, 1.2 GHz DS frequency, and smart features can be potentially power-consuming. In the AC8810, power save technology help operators to reduce power consumption in response for example to channel load changes. In low power mode, this technology can save up to 3 W per active output port. On a bigger scale this means lower operating cost for the network and a smaller CO₂ footprint.
